UI LEAP announces spring courses

The University of Iowa Lifetime Enrichment Adult Program (UI LEAP) announces spring courses for adult learners age 50 and older.

Courses offered this spring cover a wide variety of topics, including sessions on physical fitness and brain health for older adults; learning to play piano; discussing the intersection of art and history in Leo Tolstoy’s novel War and Peace; comparing the U.S and French presidential elections in 2012; and modern taxidermy. The program also offers several day trips, including visits to the Iowa Lakeside Labs, the State Capitol of Des Moines, Brucemore Mansion in Cedar Rapids, and Fairfield.

The Lifetime Enrichment Adult Program is a program of the UI Center on Aging. UI LEAP courses provide unique learning opportunities for all adults age 50 and older. There are no education or experience requirements to enroll, and there are no course tests or grades.
