Faculty/staff, answer the Call for Involvement

Do you knit? Speak Welsh? Have a favorite movie you’d like to share? Students in the residence halls are eager to meet faculty and staff in informal settings, and University Housing & Dining has a program that makes that happen.

The 2011 Call for Involvement initiative pairs interested faculty and staff with residence hall students in informal and personal interactions that can include sharing a hobby, discussing politics, attending a concert, or simply having a meal together.

The faculty or staff members suggests a program (the typical length is 45-60 minutes) and University Housing & Dining lists that program in its database. Residence hall leaders can request a particular program from the list; if the employee’s program is chosen, University Housing & Dining contacts the employee to make arrangements. University Housing & Dining provides supplies and coordinates the event, and it will also provide a letter of recognition for involvement.
