Two University of Iowa graduates were appointed as justices to the Iowa Supreme Court by Gov. Terry Branstad on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
Thomas Waterman, an attorney in private practice from Davenport, is a 1984 graduate of the UI College of Law. Bruce Zager, a Black Hawk County District Court judge in Waterloo, received his bachelor’s degree from the Tippie College of Business in 1975.
Waterman and Zager will take their seats on the bench sometime within the next 30 days.
