More time to enjoy Pentacrest Museums

The University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums—Old Capitol Museum and the Museum of Natural History—have extended Thursday night hours to 8 p.m. The museums also will stay open late for Iowa City Summer of the Arts (SotA) events held on the Pentacrest.

Both museums will remain open until 8 p.m. each day of the Iowa City Jazz Festival, Friday–Sunday, July 1–3. Additionally, in conjunction with the SotA Free Movie Series, the Museum of Natural History will remain open each Saturday until the movie begins at dusk, weather permitting.

The museums’ new Thursday night hours, billed as “Family Hours,” will continue throughout the summer and the coming academic year.

Admission to the Pentacrest Museums is free. For more information, visit their web sites at www.uiowa.edu/mnh and www.uiowa.edu/oldcap.
