Hearing Aid Laboratory research

The Hearing Aid Laboratory, directed by Ruth Bentler, professor of communication sciences and disorders in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is the site of many clinical trial investigations. The lab can provide programming of many hearing aids for directional microphone, digital noise reduction, and feedback cancellation assessment, and the lab’s multiple equalizers and amplifiers allow for generation of multi-speaker arrangements and noise sources for assessment of signal processing effectiveness.
