Nite Ride, a free shuttle operated by University of Iowa Police for female students, will resume service Monday, Aug. 15.
The shuttle, which operates between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., will use the “academic route” Sundays through Thursdays and the “downtown route” Fridays and Saturdays.
On “academic route” days, Nite Ride will pick up and deliver female students who call 384-1111 at any UI building, parking lot, ramp, or other destination within an area bounded by Summit Street to the east, residence halls to the west, Highway 6 and Melrose Avenue to the south, and Highway 6/Foster Road to the north.
On “downtown route” days, the shuttle will pick up passengers at the intersection of Clinton and Washington streets, just south of the Pentacrest, and drop them at any location within the boundary described above.
