Get a job! Get involved! Attend fairs to learn how

Interested in getting involved on campus? Or making some spending money at an on-campus job? The University will be holding two fairs that can help.

The annual University of Iowa Student Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union.

The Student Job Fair features employers who offer part-time hourly positions and work-study positions both on-campus and at nonprofit organizations off campus.

The Student Organization Fair, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, in Hubbard Park (just south of the Iowa Memorial Union), allows students easy access to a variety of student organizations available on campus.

Held at the beginning of each semester, the Student Organization Fairs provide student organizations the opportunity to recruit new members and volunteers, raise awareness about a cause, or promote upcoming events. In the event of rain, the fair will be held in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union.
