Iowa Social Science Research Center expands

Under the leadership of the University of Iowa Public Policy Center, the Iowa Social Science Research Center has been reformulated as a campuswide resource to support social science research. With the assistance of the Office of the Vice President for Research and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the center has expanded its staff and services offered to faculty and students in the social sciences.

Led by faculty director Kevin Leicht, the center offers survey data collection services, assistance with finding and securing external funding for research projects, postaward research support, and an environment to explore interdisciplinary research ideas. The Hawkeye Poll is also done in cooperation with the center.

Temporarily located in 136 Trowbridge Hall, the center will move to the eighth floor of the Jefferson Building in downtown Iowa City in October. The newly renovated space will house a 26-station call center facility. The center will be fully operational throughout this transition period.
