Take the plunge: Iowa Dive Club offering lessons

University of Iowa Recreational Services is launching a Learn-to-Dive Developmental Lessons Program with the Iowa Dive Club. The program provides an introduction to the sport of diving as participants learn diving safety and gain a foundation for success in the sport. Lessons use both dry-land and water training to develop core strength, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, control, and balance.

All lessons are 75 minutes. The Basic Lessons Program meets once per week; the Accelerated Lessons Program meets twice per week. Each program term is one month.

Dive Club membership is open to the general public and Recreational Services members. All ages are welcome. Basic Lessons are $70 per month. Accelerated Lessons are $120 per month. A family discount is available. The club is hosting a free trial week for all of its programs this week. The next full session begins Oct. 4.
