Carter infuses Carmen with contemporary choreography

The choreography of Deanna Carter, assistant professor of dance in the Division of Performing Arts, will be on display during the production of Carmen at 2 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, in the Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa.

A story of passion, jealousy, obsession, and death, Carmen is the timeless tale of a feisty gypsy involved in a fated love triangle, set to the music of Georges Bizet. Carter infuses new, contemporary choreography into this classic story.

Also featured in this performance is Delicatessan with choreography by UI dance alumna Lynn Andrews.

Tickets range from $14 to $22 and are available at the Adler Theatre Box Office or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
