The University of Iowa’s 2011 Homecoming celebration, which runs through Saturday, Oct. 22, will feature Iowa Shout at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union.
UI students will show their Hawkeye spirit through skits and songs centered on the theme “Paint the Town Black and Gold” during this free show, which is open to the public.
The University of Iowa’s Homecoming tradition began nearly 100 years ago and has grown tremendously over the years. Each year, thousands of UI students, alumni, and faculty, and residents of Iowa City and surrounding communities, come together for a weeklong celebration of Hawkeye pride leading up to the Saturday Homecoming football game.
