“Museum Party!” celebrates graphic language exhibit

The University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA) is hosting its annual “Museum Party!” on Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Iowa Memorial Union’s Main Lounge. This year’s event celebrates a cutting-edge exhibition of original comic art, located in the Black Box Theater on the IMU’s third floor. The exhibit will be open for party-goers.

The event is open to the public, and for the first time, the UIMA is offering two ticket options. Guests may choose a ticket for a wine reception and a formal, sit-down dinner, with a bash to follow, for the price of $125. The other option is to attend just the after-dinner bash, which includes an evening of music spun by DJ Doug Roberson, unique photo opportunities, and light hors d’oeuvres and dessert for $35. The wine reception and dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. The bash begins at 8 p.m. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible.

For reservations, call 319-335-1725. For those not able to attend the event, donations are welcome.
