The annual benefits open enrollment for faculty, professional and scientific, and merit supervisory exempt staff will close after Friday, Nov. 18. After this date, you will not be able to make changes to your benefit elections for 2012 unless you have a qualifying event as defined on the University Benefits Office web page at www.uiowa.edu/hr/benefits/changes.html.
If you have not already done so, you should carefully review all of your benefit choices to ensure they are still the best options for you.
To enroll online, go to the Employee Self Service website (hris.uiowa.edu), log in, click on “Benefits Enrollment,” and make your selections.
Any changes that you make will not go into effect for 2012 until you click “Finish Enrollment” from your Benefit Enrollment Event on the Self Service website. Once you do this, you will receive a confirmation statement through campus mail showing your 2012 benefits and any out-of-pocket costs.
If you want to make changes, online enrollment requires you to know your Hawk ID and password. If you do not know your Hawk ID, you can find it at login.uiowa.edu/uip/hawkid-lookup.page. If you don’t have a password, you may request one by calling ITS at 319-384-4357 or 319-384-0800. Those supported by Health Care Information Systems should call 319-356-0001.
