Come see dance collaborative Dec. 1–3

The University of Iowa Division of Performing Arts interdisciplinary class in creative dance collaboration, led by dance faculty member Deanna Carter, will reveal its results in performances at 8 p.m., Thursday–Saturday, Dec. 1–3, in Space Place Theater of North Hall.

The production will include:

  • “Child’s Play,” with direction and puppet design by David Hanzal, devised in collaboration with Beth Kilmer, Jacqueline Sherrard, and Samuel Summer.
  • “It’s All About Eve According to Eve,” imagined and directed by Joh Kirk; written, staged, designed, and performed in collaboration with Topeka Ellis, Sarah Finley, and Sarah Genta to music by Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Buffett, and Arnold Schoenberg.
  • “If we sing it, it makes it better,” directed and composed by Gabriel Anderson in collaboration with performers Taylor Gillhouse and Brady Van Patten, with accompaniment by Jason Gregory.
  • “A ball: of fire and season,” produced by Rebecca Chun, Alex de la Peña, and Jennifer Lynn Tillpaugh, and including music by PDQ Bach.
  • “Lexicon,” conceived by Alex de la Peña, Melinda Myers, and their cast.

Admission is $12 ($6 for senior citizens and youth, and free for UI students with a valid UI ID).
