Trip participants will visit Dublin, Killarney, Galway, and Dunboyne. Sites and attractions include: Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Blarney Castle & Woolen Mills, Cliffs of Moher, Galtee Mountains, Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Centre, Connemara, and Guinness Storehouse.
This trip, from March 21 to 29, 2012, includes round-trip airfare from Chicago, deluxe hotel accommodations with private facilities, full Irish breakfast daily, four table d’hote dinners, deluxe bus tours, and entrance fees for tourist attractions and sightseeing for $2,250.
Since each trip is customized, there are plans to connect with UNESCO officials in Dublin, another City of Literature. The travel agent has also offered to connect participants with Trinity College officials if there is interest from the group.
The chamber has extended this member pricing to UI staff, faculty, and students since the UI is a chamber member. The deadline to register is Jan. 23, 2012.
